Adjacent to the Cotswolds is The Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, Dissected by rivers and streams it is a truly idyllic location and is one of England’s last ancient forests.

Deep in the woods, your luxury retreat may be utterly secluded but you can be assured of luxurious accommodation and interesting attractions, along with access to some of life’s amazing activities and experiences for everyone - from kids to adults.

Step from The Stables private drive into this stunning detached converted barn and onto the warm natural fossil limestone floor which covers the underfloor heating. The focal point of this convivial open plan living/dining/kitchen is the glass fronted wood-burner around which the deep corner settee and arm chair are grouped. The special ambience, which can only be created by a woodburner, can be enjoyed by all. There is complimentary WiFi and TV Sky Sports package.

A traditional oak dining table and chairs link via the kitchen peninsular with the Shaker style kitchen which has integrated equipment: dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, gas range cooker, fridge with separate freezer. Microwave too.

At the side of the dining area a door leads to the ground floor master en suite bedroom which has a king-size bed and two windows with excellent woodland views down the valley. The en suite shower room has a power shower and room for a shower seat if required.

The carpeted stairs leads to a first floor low pitched roof with a double bedroom, with panoramic view, and a twin bedded room with meadow and woodland views. On the landing a door leads to a family bathroom with limestone covered wall and floor. The bath is a splendid size with waterfall bath filler, to soak those walks away or there is a power shower over if preferred. The porcelain basin has lots of space on all sides and a cupboard beneath.

Outside there is: a driveway with parking. Lawned garden which is safely enclosed, seating area with clematis and tub planters, for BBQ or just chatting with friends. The Stables are within viewing distance of the children’s play area with swings and slide or stroll a short way to the heated games room for Snooker/Pool, Air Hockey, Table Tennis or Table Football.

Stroll a short way up to our tree viewing platform with spectacular views across the valley. Lovely picnics have been had as surprise Birthday celebrations and honeymooners enjoy it too. Thrill seeking children swing over the sloping hillside with the long roped swing - glorious fun.
