Penrice Castle and its surrounding Estate lie in the heart of the Gower Peninsula in South Wales. The Estate offers self catering holiday accommodation in sixteen self catering Gower holiday cottages overlooking Oxwich Bay. Visitors have access to the historic park and gardens at Penrice and free entry to nearby Oxwich car park owned by the Estate. Events and weddings available on the Estate by arrangement. Gower was the first Area of Outstanding National Beauty in Britain and is ideal for walking, bird watching, boating, golf, watersports, horse riding and fishing. Short breaks are available out of season.
The lodge, known as The Tower at the main gates to Penrice Castle built as an extravagant Gothic folly in the 1790s to have the appearance of a ruined castle. The Towers is a unique gothic styled folly which is the lodge to the Penrice Estate. It is often used as the honeymoon location for our wedding receptions. Ideal for a romantic break away the Towers was restored in 2010 to a very high standard.
