Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, is one of England’s last ancient forests and is adjacent to the Cotswolds. Dissected by rivers and streams it is a truly idyllic location.
Deep in the woods, your luxury retreat may be utterly secluded but you can be assured of luxurious accommodation and interesting attractions, along with access to some of life’s amazing activities and experiences for everyone - from kids to adults.
Step from The Stables private drive into this stunning detached converted barn and onto the warm natural fossil limestone floor which covers the underfloor heating. The focal point of this convivial open plan living/dining/kitchen is the glass fronted wood-burner around which the deep corner settee and arm chair are grouped. The special ambience, which can only be created by a woodburner, can be enjoyed by all. There is complimentary WiFi and TV with Sky Movies and Sports Channels too.
A traditional oak dining table and chairs link via the kitchen peninsular with the Shaker style kitchen which has integrated equipment: dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, gas range cooker, fridge with separate freezer. Microwave too.
At the side of the dining area a door leads to the ground floor master en suite bedroom which has a king-size bed and two windows with excellent woodland views down the valley. The en suite shower room has a power shower and room for a shower seat if required.
Another door to the ground floor cloakroom with wc and basin.
The carpeted stairs leads to a first floor low pitched roof with a double bedroom, with panoramic view, and a twin bedded room with meadow and woodland views. On the landing a door leads to a family bathroom with limestone covered wall and floor. The bath is a splendid size with waterfall bath filler, to soak those walks away or there is a power shower over if preferred. The porcelain basin has lots of space on all sides and a cupboard beneath.
Outside there is: a driveway with parking. Lawned garden which is safely enclosed, seating area with clematis and tub planters, for BBQ or just chatting with friends.
