Spring Cottage is a fabulous Isle of Wight large holiday home and stands in an idyllic location, within a two minute walk of the beach in the pretty seaside village of Bonchurch on the south east coast of the Island. The cottage enjoys beautiful sea views from most rooms and from its enchanting garden. Bonchurch is a peaceful village with a public house, good restaurant and two ancient churches plus a pretty pond which is home to carp, ducks and a variety of birds. The beach at Bonchurch is of sand and shingle with areas of rock pools which are good for finding small fish and crabs. Visitors can also enjoy a pleasant walk along by the sea into the nearby small seaside town of Ventnor. The larger sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are less than a 10 minute drive away.
Spring Cottage has been carefully extended and renovated from the original stone built stables of Winterbourne House to provide a wonderfully spacious and attractive property. Charles Dickens wrote David Copperfield whilst staying at Winterbourne House. He was attracted by the beautiful peaceful location and mild climate of the area. Spring Cottage has been furnished and equipped with care to provide particularly attractive accommodation for 8 people which is centrally heated.
