Orchard Barn was originally built for the housing of The Manor's hay and animals hence it is on the edge of its own long meadow in this tiny hamlet. It is a luxurious, spacious, warm and inviting self catering barn set in an idyllic rural setting in the Forest of Dean near to The Cotswolds in Gloucestershire 120 min drive from M25.

Take a flat path or steps to the front door which opens into a little lobby. Off it, opposite, is the twin bedded room with family bathroom and downstairs loo. On the left a door to carpeted stairs to an en suite bedroom with king-size bed. Step onto a honey coloured limestone floor which covers the warm underfloor heating and into a dramatic seating area presided over by a double height, oak vaulted roof. An expanse of glass to both north and south allowing the beauty of the countryside around to be as much a part a part of the luxury experience as well as the warmth. The focal point is a large glass fronted Norwegian Jotul log burner. Fold back the glass front panels to reveal the flames of an open fire giving the ambience that only an open fire can. Family and friends draw together on the large corner settee and arm chair to discuss the days adventures.

This 26’ long open plan sofa, dining and kitchen area has a sturdy farmhouse table for as many as 10, and all the appliances and gadgets you could want all neatly integrated out of sight: dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer. Gas range and microwave.

Opening out of the kitchen area are the stairs leading to a further en suite bedroom with king-size bed.

Outside there is: parking. lawned garden which is safely enclosed, seating area for BBQ or just chatting with friends. There is a children’s play area with swings and slide or stroll a short way to the heated games room for Snooker/Pool, Air Hockey, Table Tennis or Table Football.

Stroll a short way up to our tree viewing platform with spectacular views across the valley. Lovely picnics have been had as surprise Birthday celebrations and honeymooners enjoy it too. Thrill seeking children swing over the sloping hillside with the long roped swing - glorious fun.
