Outside Description

The patio is south facing so you can sit outside with a cream tea, enjoying the big Norfolk skies, sunny days and see all the wildlife on our 10 acres of landscaped grounds.

Gated private patio and garden with outside furniture. This is an ideal place in which to sit with a glass of wine while watching our resident barn owl. Plenty of parking for one car. Huge grassy landscaped area for playing and kite flying and a short walk from our private miniature steam hobby railway.

Downstairs Description

Sunny, bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. The spacious and stylish living area features a log-burning stove, dining table and chairs, a comfy sofa and armchair, flat-screen television with Freeview, DVD player and an iPod dock. A large glazed area with double doors leads into the private patio and enclosed garden. The cottage kitchen has a window overlooking the pond and gardens and contains plenty of worktop, cupboard space and integrated Bosch appliances. The equipment includes a dishwasher, induction hob, oven ,extractor, full-size fridge-freezer, washing machine and microwave.

Romantic spacious bedroom with a king-size Original Bed Company iron bed, luxury mattress and King of Cotton linens, flat-screen television with Freeview, plenty of cupboard space, and a window overlooking the garden.

Luxury en-suite wet-room with exposed beams and equipped with a walk-in shower, travertine tiles and under-floor heating.

Windows Views Description

The views from the windows show all aspects of the beautiful countryside the cottage is set in - the flower garden, the trees, the open spaces, the pond - and in the background our eco friendly wind turbine. Plus lots of birdlife and great sunrises and sunsets in this land of the big skies!

Other Notes

Ideal level access throughout for those of lesser ability, however - owing to the planning restrictions of the barn conversion - the cottage is unsuitable for wheelchair users.

  • The Ashmanhaugh Light Railway: This is a private 7¼ inch gauge hobby railway set in the fields behind the holiday cottages and run by a group of amateur enthusiasts. It was begun in 2002 and now has three circuits of track, a signal box, platform, carriage shed, ticket office, a wildlife pond surrounded by wildflowers – and you may spot the odd toadstool or fairy!
