Casula In Criccieth

Criccieth, Gwynedd, Seaside village

This delightful little house overlooks the village green in Criccieth. Casula is small yet perfectly formed, having undergone a complete and sympathetic refurbishment by the owners. The property has a calming vibe and a luxurious feel throughout. Large, comfy sofas and neutral wall colours set the tone for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The large garden at the rear is a lovely place to wile away the hours. From the front you enjoy views of the sea and Criccieth Castle perched on a rocky headland above the village’s sand-and-shingle beach.

Criccieth is a pretty little place clustered around the bay, with the oldest part found huddled on the outcrop of rock near the castle. You’ll discover shops and antique stores here, as well as plenty of places to eat. Make sure you check out Dylan’s, one of two in North West Wales (the other in Menai Bridge) that have been winning many fans. For a little more shopping, pop to nearby Porthmadog. Make sure you explore the harbour area and take the time to find the perfect horseshoe bay of Borth y Gest. The coastal walks from here take you as far as wonderful Black Rock Sands, with views across the sea to Snowdonia’s mountains.
