Outside Description

Situated half a mile up a farm track on a hillside surrounded by rolling farmland, the cottage offers stunning views from the private paved and gravel garden which is surrounded by shrubs and flowers - the perfect place to relax and unwind. Garden furniture is provided for you to eat at while enjoying views towards Stiperstones. Our former farmhouse is across a lawned area which does not overlook the barn and we are on hand if you need us.

Downstairs Description

Open plan living room with wood burner, steps up to kitchen dining area with fitted pine kitchen,Cotswold stone floor and granite worktops. Steps lead up to luxury bathroom with Victorian style roll top bath, toilet, wash basin, separate shower,terracotta floor and heated towel rail. Reclaimed gothic style carving and hand made door make the bathroom unique.

First Floor Description

From the living room a double staircase in oak leads to two bedrooms in the eaves. The family bedroom comprises of a 4 foot hand made double bed in elm,and a single bed. The other is a double bedroom with hand made bed incorporating gothic style carving. Eastern style furnishings create a special romantic atmosphere. There is room for a small cot on request. Both rooms are full of character with beams and restricted headroom at the sides.

Windows Views Description

All rooms (except the bathroom which has a velux rooflight) have double aspect windows, some onto your garden and farmland, others onto our garden and lawned area with plants to admire. We do not use this area of the garden when the barn is occupied to give you your privacy.

Other Notes

Please note the cottage is half a mile up a farm track which may need four wheel drive in severe frost or snow. May be unsuitable for the elderly or unfirm due to nature of stairs and garden steps,and also sometimes gates to open. If you want to get away from it all this is the place-no mobile phone reception and we can even remove the WiFi on request.

Child Friendly: Children are welcome but please note there are a number of steps and stairs with no stair gates.
