You can walk, cycle or drive to Lanchester, the nearest village where you will find local, independent shops, pubs, restaurants and pretty village walks. The biggest attractions close to Number Nine are Beamish Museum and Durham City, where you will find Durham Cathedral, Durham Castle and a wealth of walks, shops, eateries and annual events around this historical city to explore and discover.
