A Beautifully Restored Village Cottage with a Lavish Twist

Looking to stay in a medieval, historic village in an uber-luxurious cottage? Then look no further, Honeybee Cottage is a beautiful village retreat, perfect to return home to after a day out exploring – or just a stroll along Warkworth beach and dinner in a local restaurant. Five Star, Gold award-winning Honeybee Cottage has been refurbished and extended to create a characterful and charming village cottage, with all the luxury essentials and special touches Coquet Cottages are renowned for. The lounge is warm and incredibly cosy, with the sandstone inglenook fireplace housing a warming wood-burning stove, original oak beams above and a view out to the River Coquet.

The wow-factor however is beyond the lounge; step through to the dining kitchen and you’ll find a gorgeous, open-plan luxury kitchen/living area, which gives a contemporary twist and provides a contrast to the traditional cottage feel. With huge windows, it lets in lots of natural light, providing a comfortable and calm space to read a book or chat over a coffee or a glass of wine, while the well-stocked luxury kitchen is perfect for preparing a delicious meal. The glazed door leads out to a small and pretty patio garden with a table and chairs which is quite a sun trap on sunny days. A ground-floor cloakroom/WC is situated just off the kitchen/dining area.

Upstairs there are two luxury bedrooms each with superbly equipped and finished bathrooms fitted with Laura Ashley tiling and luxury sanitary-ware. Luxury complimentary toiletries by Temple Spa, fluffy white towels, luxury high-thread-count bed linen and complimentary bathrobes and slippers (on request) are provided to complete the luxury experience. Smart TV’s are provided in both bedrooms. The superking bedroom to the front has a lovely view of the River Coquet and the king-size bedroom to the rear provides a glimpse of the 14th century Warkworth Castle.
