Bron Y Graig

Conwy, Gwynedd, Seaside town

Just outside the town walls of historic Conwy, Bron y Graig is a charming semi-detached Victorian house benefiting from wonderful views of Conwy’s grand castle and is just a few minutes’ stroll from the town’s pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants. Conwy has the highest proportion of independent shops and businesses of any town in the UK, so it’s a great place to come and browse and find something different. The house has been recently renovated and carefully redecorated and makes for a very comfortable holiday home. The front garden gets plenty of sunshine but even when the sun is hiding, fires in both the dining room and sitting room will help keep you warm and snug.

While in Conwy make sure you explore the castle and walk the town walls, and spend time down on the historic quay. In season you may see fishermen bringing in their haul of mussels from a day out on the water. Mussels are still hand-raked here. You’ll find them on many local menus, including the Castle Hotel, Signatures restaurant just outside town, and even in the Liverpool Arms pub on the waterfront.

If you can manage to tear yourself away from Conwy there’s plenty more to explore here too. You’re just 15 minutes’ drive from Surf Snowdonia and a similar distance to world-famous Bodnant Gardens and its wonderful Welsh food centre. Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales, is just half an hour by car through some the UK’s finest mountain scenery.
